Robert Glasper performed at The Roundhouse in London this weekend as part of the iTunes Festival.  He brought a handful of friends with him too, including Phonte, MF Doom, Lalah Hathaway, Bilal, Patrick Stump and others.  The video of the full 2.5 hour set is currently archived on iTunes (go to this link, which will load iTunes, then select Robert Glasper on the calendar list of artists).  In the meantime, here are the audio highlights of the hip-hop portions of the set with Phonte doing a medley of songs off of Charity Starts at Home while the Villain rocked Figaro and Rhinestone Cowboy.

Black Radio is out now, and to celebrate its release, Robert Glasper held two release shows in NYC, stacked with a ton of the special guests featured on the album.  Here is a fantastic performance of Always Shine with Lupe Fiasco and Bilal as well as an incredible rendition of Little Dragon’s Twice.  If you haven’t already, please pick up Black Radio and support these talented musicians and see them live when they come to your town.

The Robert Glasper Experiment teamed up with Pete Rock and the legendary Roy Ayers for a few special shows over the past year or so.  Earlier this summer, we were blessed with a soundboard recording of the super-group performing live at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands.  Last year we presented some treats from their show in Harlem (refresh your memory here), and now we have the full set for your download pleasure below.  Big thanks to Randy from Funk It for passing along this show- be sure to check out his site Funk It for all that live funk goodness.
