Its time to bust out the tie dye shirts and bring back the hi-top fades. While it may be hard to believe, Three Feet High & Rising turned 20 years old this year. To celebrate the anniversary of what many consider to be one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all-time, De La Soul hit the road with the 10 piece band, The Rhythm Roots All-Stars, to celebrate their longevity in hip-hop music. If you’ve seen De La Soul before, you know their shows are one big party, but with the addition of the live band, the funky vibes are taken to a whole new level. Talib Kweli brought his Idle Warship crew (Res and Graph Nobel) at the Hip Hop Live Tour NYC date to test out “Black Snake Moan” with the crowd. It went over very well and they ended up filming the video for it a week later. Backed by the Rhythm Roots All-Stars, this is a dope performance.

Little Brother was another featured artist on the Hip Hop Live tour this past year, performing with the live band, the Rhythm Roots All-Star. B.o.B. is the latest sensation to come out of Atlanta and is already doing big things at the tender age of 20. He was one of the featured performers on this past summer’s Hip Hop Live Tour, along with Little Brother, David Banner and Talib Kweli. When the tour rolled through NYC, B.o.B. hit the stage at the Nokia Theatre backed by the live band Rhythm Roots All-Stars. He may be a youngin, but his stage presence is that of a veteran and he had the crowd’s full attention. Here is his performance of “Generation Lost” from that night.
