Earlier tonight Pharoahe Monch performed at the Pepsi Max Lot @ SXSW.  Pepsi live streamed the event, and I just happened to turn it on near the beginning of his set (looks like I may have missed a song or two) and recorded it.  His brief set included Oh No, which had to be emotional for Monch with Nate Dogg passed away yesterday.  W.A.R. is in stores 3/22 and you can pre-order on iTunes here.

Last month Pharoahe Monch premiered his anti-police brutality anthem “Clap”, to a sold out crowd at the Jazz Cafe in London.  “Clap (One Day)” is the new single from his upcoming album, W.A.R. (We Are Renegades), which is set to be released in February 2011.   Pharoahe will also be releasing a short film and music video for “Clap (One Day)” in December 2010.  Check out the video after the jump.

Black Milk celebrated the release of Album Of The Year last night at Southpaw in Brooklyn and apparently tore the house down.  Detroit was out in full force as Guilty Simpson, Elzhi and Sean Price all shared the stage with Black Milk throughout the evening.  Others in attendance included Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, Jay Electronica among others.  The show sounded crazy as the band was on point and Black blessed the crowd with a selection of cuts from all 3 of his albums.  Here is a soundboard recording of the show, thanks to East Village Radio who streamed the entire performance.
