Brooklyn’s own Fresh Daily and Chris Faust performed killer sets at Drom in NYC last week, along with PitchBlak Brass Band. Chris Faust started off the night backed by his amazing band Good Day Good Night and ripped through some older joints off of Comic Books Unlimited before getting his FAUST era material.  PitchBlak also rocked a high energy set which featured a cameo verse from Fresh Daily, who headlined the show.  The BK Good Guy himself was no slouch either to close the night, making beats live on his MPC while spitting raps over his lush production.  The highlight of the night was an improvised jam with the trombone section of PitchBlak joining Fresh Daily on stage while he freestyled.  But enough about my recap, enjoy our exclusive photos, videos and audio highlights of the evening’s festivities.

Outasight continued his brief residency at Pianos in NYC last Tuesday by taking the stage alongside openers Kris Kasanova and Chris Faust.  Backed by a tight live band, OU performed many songs off of his Further and Never Say Never mixtapes (check those out here if you haven’t already).  The show was a fantastic blend of  the hip-hop, soul and rock that defines Outasight’s style.  Here are some songs we recorded from the show and be on the lookout for his official debut album, From Here To Eternity, which is scheduled to be released later this year via Warner/Asylum.
