Lupe Fiasco performed alongside the Robert Glasper Experiment for 4 amazing shows at The Blue Note this weekend.  We were in the building for the final two shows and were treated to an impromptu cypher session between Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def and Kanye West.  The trio freestyled, spit new verses, classic verses and then Mos did fantastic renditions of Umi Says and Black Radio, all backed by the incredible Robert Glasper Experiment.  It was truly epic and the intimate venue made the performance even more special.  ATWL is proud to exclusively present the entire 30 minute cypher session.  More audio of Lupe’s set will be posted soon, so stay tuned for more treats.

  3. lupe calling the concertgoers “cheap motherf**kers”, then trying to clean it up and call robert glasper a “cheap motherf**ker” is probably the most classless thing i’ve ever heard a rapper say onstage. kind of mars the otherwise dope verse he dropped earlier in the night about the war on terror. hard to mix being insightful and being a douchebag.

He really let it go IMO … Aside from coming in unannounced @ Lupe’s show – he hit on a lot of his own fiascogates (small pun) with the “Bush hates black people” +hate the white’s cuz I say what’s right+ , “Taylor Swift incident” +Beyonce gave the award back+ Referenced the henny and being scared of the Grammys also. The freestyle seemed to be built around the fuckups— You can tell he’s still harboring/regretting those past moves when hes flowing off the top.

@spirit equality thats not true at all, lupe and glasper were joking ragging on eachother all night. rob was laughing his ass off when lu said that… you’re taking that way out of context.
