Wale took the stage at Highline Ballroom earlier this week for his highly anticipated A Show About Nothing, fresh off the release of the excellent More About Nothing mixtape. Presented by Rap Radar, Wale and his go-go band UCB tore through tracks off the tape, with the horns blaring and drums banging on all night. J Cole and Fabolous made guest appeaerances during the set to the crowd’s delight. ATWL was in the house, so here’s our full, exclusive recording of the show.

Earlier this month, IHeartRadio put on a private show in NYC featuring K’Naan. The short set was a great mix of K’Naan’s talent and featured many songs off of Troubadour. Unique to this show was an interesting cover which blended U2′s Stuck In The Moment and Jay-Z’s Hard Knock Life. Download the full show after the jump.

Earlier this year, a truly special show graced the spotlights at Harlem Stage in NYC. The Robert Glasper Experiment teamed up with Stefon Harris and Pete Rock to perform a tribute set to the legendary Roy Ayers. The Experiment flipped their own twist on Ayers’ vast catalog while Pete Rock threw some hip-hop into the mix, leading the band into hip hop classics that sampled Ayers. It was an incredible evening and is near the top of my list as far as shows I’ve seen this year. Here are a few songs from the evening, courtesy of our exclusive recording.

Nas & Damian Marley dropped by the Madia Vale studios at BBC radio for a live session for BBC 1xtra. They performed five tracks for the session, backed by Damian’s band.
