Earlier today, Questlove dropped this little “sandwich” via his twitter account.  Straight from rehearsals at 30 Rock, here’s The Roots jammin out to a cover of Jimmy Smith’s “Root Down”, which you may recognize as the original sample of the Beastie Boys song of the same name.  Audio stream and download after the jump.
